Why do we do this?

In CityHeroes we believe that better citizens and commited companies result in better and safer cities. We want to inspire people to do good for other people.

Based on this philosophy we created CityHeroes and decided to focus on one of the greatest humanity problems: the lack of personal, public, and private security. We firmly believe that security is a fundamental right that enables people to develop their full academic, professional, and emocional potencial in an environment of respect and quietness.

How do we do it?

We combine web, mobile, and hardware technologies with the culture of collaboration to help people report and solve collective and high risk problems. We gather all the stakeholders, including, but not limited to citizens, institutions, companies, and government to tackle the problems in concert and as soon as possible in order to prevent the problem from getting worse.

We focus on prevention, and as opposed to traditional solutions, we place the person in the center of the problem and the solution. The objetive is for each one of us to become the best hero our communities could ever have by using technology, smartphones, and the comunication with other people as the main tool.

We are much more than an app. We create disruptive technologies based on scientific studies about how people behave in different situations. Moreover, the team that implements this is commited with CityHeroes philosophy and the final goal of creating communities where people live well and feel safe.

What do we do?

CityHeroes is an application for smartphones that enables people to send a report about a particular situation in less than 30 seconds. Either it be a loose wire at the office or a terrorist treat at a public event, the information of such event may help save lives. CityHeroes also provides a web platform where the companies, governments, and organizations can manage the reports in real-time, obtain the exact location of the problem, forward the information to the approrpiate institutions, and ideally find a solution to the problem. In this same form CityHeroes can send alerts to the members of an organization when a particular situation requires rapid and effective communication.

CityHeroes is also connected to LifeTag, a series of electronic devices that can be either carried around by people or be installed in buses, homes, and other locations. These devices are independent of the cell-phones and are capable of generating information and immediate alerts in case of critical situations. These devices are connected to the CityHeroes system in order to shorten the response times and enable the institutions to take action in the shortest amount of time possible.
